Obituary of Marilyn Madden

Marilyn B. Madden, 82, of Freehold Borough, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 3, 2015. Born in Freehold, she has lived in the Borough her entire life. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold. For many years, she worked as an administrative assistant for Alpha School, Lakewood and was a charter member of the Freehold First Aid Auxiliary.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents and five siblings. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, William; six children and their spouses, Glen and Diane, Sharon and Kenneth McCauley, Maureen and Pete Petersen, Janice and John McDonough, Linda and Michael Scanlon, and Gary and Marg; 14 grandchildren, Jennifer McCauley (Preston); Erin Liberto (Mat); Ryan McCauley (Melissa); Brian, Kevin (Jaime) and Jeffrey (Tara) Rowe; John Petersen (Rebecca); Meagan Taglione (Anthony); Caitlin (Matt) and Michael (Jylian) McDonough; William (Brittany) and Thomas (Amanda) Scanlon; Greg Mullarkey (Jackie); and Eileen Mullarkey-Bye (Rob); and many great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday, August 5, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
