I was deeply saddened by news of Larry's passing. I grew up with Larry in Oceanside, NY and have many great memories of playing sports with him and of our days at school. Larry always had a smile on his face and he had a terrific sense of humor. We called him "Lars"...not sure exactly why but I think it had to do with a Saturday Night Live skit. When we graduated from high school we didn't see alot of each other but I did spend a few days with him in Buffalo as I was thinking of transferring to SUNY Buffalo. I got to meet Lauren on that visit and could tell they really were great together. We kept in touch recently through email and the last time I saw him was back in 2009 when we met in NYC for lunch while we were both looking for a job. My heart goes out to Lauren and his boys. I am a better person for having known Larry and hope that his family is comforted by all of the good memories and the fact that he was an incredible person who loved his family.

Lauren, Steven, and Robert, I am so sorry for your loss. When I think of Larry, I remember how much joy he had in being a dad and how much pride he had in his sons. He had boundless energy and I can see him in the back yard playing ball with you when you were kids. Right after coming home from work, Larry was always ready to hang out with his active boys. He also found the time and energy to build a deck, put in floors, and make his new home beautiful. That is because he had so much love for his family. Everything he did was a manifestation of his caring and deep love for all of you. I can see the light/twinkle in his eyes and smile on his face when he was around his family. You meant the world to him. My thoughts are with you each of you. Rest in Peace, Larry.
