Obituary of Mariano Cangelosi

Mariano Cangelosi, 80, of Manalapan, NJ, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Centra State Medical Center. Mariano was born in Italy and came to the United States 63 years ago. Mariano spent most of his life working alongside his brothers, Joseph and Pietro, as the owner of J.M.P. Display Fixture in Brooklyn, NY, before retiring.

Mariano was a devoted family man, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, having shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Helene. He had a deep love for playing the piano, a hobby he cherished throughout his life. A man of style, Mariano had a particular fondness for his suits and enjoyed the excitement playing roulette in Atlantic City.

Mariano was predeceased by his parents Melchiorre and Olivia Cangelosi. He is survived by his loving wife Helene Cangelosi; daughters Olivia (Vincent) Valenti and Camille (Alfonso) Rosales; grandchildren Amanda, Taylor, Brandon, Matthew, Antonio, Enrique and great- grandchild Narcisco Brandon Rodriguez.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Monday, March 3^rd, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North in Manalapan, NJ.  A funeral liturgy will be held at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
