Obituary of Linda Meade
Linda Ann (Asterino) Meade, 64 of Freehold died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on February 17, 2025. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. Her unwavering presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born January 9, 1961, Linda was raised in Titusville, NJ. She graduated from Hopewell Valley High School and Gettysburg College, where she met the love of her life, Ralph, while earning a Bachelor’s degree in business. She went on to earn a master’s degree from Rider University. Linda and her husband Ralph shared 38 years of marriage, building a life together full of love, adventure and mutual pride in their three children.
Linda was the true embodiment of a superwoman — capable of doing it all and somehow making it look effortless. Her strength, wisdom and unconditional love was at the heart of everything she did. Family was her pride and joy and she cherished every moment spent at home with Ralph, whether tending to her garden, enjoying time with her children, or finding peace in quiet moments. Linda’s passion for fitness was a lifelong journey and she found immense joy in helping others reach their full potential leaving behind countless meaningful relationships formed through her work as a trainer.
In addition to her husband, Ralph, Linda is survived by her three children and their spouses whom she loved like her own; Dylan Meade (Justine), Curtis Meade (Ioanna) and Haley Greczek (David). She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses Bill Asterino (Joanne), Susan Lagowski (Matt) and Pam Wagner (Chris), and her mother-in-law, Barbara Meade. Linda was a beloved aunt to eight nieces and nephews and a cherished lifelong friend to many.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, William and Margaret Asterino, and her father-in-law, Ralph Meade.
Linda’s legacy will live on through her family, friends and the many lives she touched with her boundless love, strength and kindness. She leaves behind a world that is better for having had her in it.
Visitations will be held on Friday, February 21 between 4-6PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold, NJ. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 10AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 16 Mc Lean St, Freehold, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society https://givenow.lls.org/give/ in her memory. May Linda’s spirit of love and resilience continue to inspire all who knew her.
