Obituary of Eugene James Luca

In honor of Eugene Luca who was born April 29, 1943, and earned his wings on February 12, 2025.  An Angel here on earth and now a guiding light from Heaven.  Eugene was and always will be a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. “HIS LEGACY IS HIS FAMILY”.  He is survived by his loving wife Lorraine Luca of 61 years, their two children, their eight grand kids and their three great grand kids.

Eugene was a committed NYPD officer who was proud to serve his community and who also served his country. 

Eugene had the ability to make all of us smile and laugh but most of all feel loved and safe.  He showed unconditional love to his family; he made sure to say I love you too, thank you more than once, and to always be careful. He was a caretaker to the very end.

He will forever be missed and never forgotten.  In our hearts always and forever.­
