Obituary of Joan E. Pellegrini

Please share a memory of Joan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Joan E. Pellegrini, 81, of Manasquan, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Joan built a beautiful life filled with love, warmth, and devotion to her family. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, and taking walks along Manasquan Beach, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Joan was the heart of her family—a selfless and loving grandmother who cherished every moment with her grandchildren. She never missed a chance to celebrate their achievements, offer words of wisdom, or simply enjoy their company, making each of them feel deeply loved and supported.

Before her retirement, Joan was a highly successful real estate broker, known for selling stunning homes throughout Monmouth County. Her keen eye for beauty and commitment to her clients made her a respected figure in the industry.

Joan was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Elizabeth Callie; her sister, Theresa Mancuso; and her grandson, Raymond Dobbin. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gerald A. Pellegrini; her daughters, Ava Conte (Nick Conte) of Manalapan, NJ, and Kim Tashjian of Colts Neck, NJ; her son, Gerald Pellegrini of South Amboy, NJ; her sister, Christine Citarella; her brother, Samuel Callie; her cherished grandchildren, Christopher Tashjian, Nicholas Tashjian, Gabriela Pellegrini, and Ricardo Pellegrini; her beloved great-granddaughter, Isabella Tashjian; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, February 14, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
