Obituary of Joy Roberta DeCicco

Joy Roberta (Bert) DeCicco went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 7, 2024. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family and devoted  caregiver.

She was predeceased by her high school sweetheart and  husband, Nick A. DeCicco, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. She is survived by her three children: Michael and his wife, Diane; April and her husband, Kevin; and Nicole and her husband, John. She also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Jack, Isabella, and Michael Hetherington, and James and Nick LoMonte, as well as her dear sister, Normandie Cannizzaro.

Affectionately known as “Honey” to her grandchildren, Joy was a steadfast Christian and a dedicated prayer warrior. She never ceased to lift up her family, friends, and acquaintances in prayer, boldly sharing the love of Christ with all who crossed her path. She had a special ministry of encouragement, writing heartfelt letters to those who were sick or homebound, offering them hope and comfort. She was always ready with a laugh, a gift, a prayer or a song and was always alot of fun to be around!

Her presence and ministry on this earth will be deeply missed, but we rejoice in knowing she is now free from the burdens of this world and united with the greatest love of her life—Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at 2:00 P.M. on March 8, 2025 at:
