Obituary of Rosaria Colletti

Rosaria (Sara) Colletti, 83, of Tinton Falls, NJ passed away at home on Saturday, January 21, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Ribera, Sicily and came to the United States in 1955.  She married her husband Joseph in 1956 and resided in Clark, NJ, as well as her summer home in Lanoka Harbor prior to moving to Tinton Falls.  Prior to her retirement,  Sara worked as a seamstress and a teacher’s aide.  Sara will always be remembered for her love of family, her cooking and baking skills as well as her talent for crafting almost anything with her hands.

Sara was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2000 and her son Pietro in 2019.  She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-laws, Domenico and Leila of Millstone; Giacomo and Margret Ann of Wall; and 9 grandchildren, Joseph D., Stefano, Domenico, Joseph G., Sarina, Angela, Joseph, Issabella, and Sara and 4 great-grandchildren, Nico, Giacomo, Pietro, and Josephine.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 4-8pm at the Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, NJ  07726 with a funeral service on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 10:00am also at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, NJ.  Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.st.jude.org or the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
