Obituary of Pik Chun Jane Toy

Please share a memory of Pik Chun to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Pik Chun (Jane) Toy went to be with her Maker on Monday, November 28th, 2022 at 73 years old. Her family is deeply thankful that they were able to spend quality time together with her during Thanksgiving weekend – praying, singing songs of comfort and praise, sharing memories, and expressing her hopes for their futures.

The eldest of six siblings, Pik Chun was born on October 26, 1949 in Fujian, China, and spent most of her youth there, and in Kowloon, Hong Kong. With dreams to start a new life together, she immigrated to America in 1971, just days after marrying her husband, Kam Park (Joshua) Toy. God blessed them with three daughters, Grace, Maria, and Victoria, whom she pushed to excel beyond what she could dream of for herself.  When her daughters were young, Pik Chun helped financially support the family by working in a Chinatown garment factory until they moved out of their home in Brooklyn to Monmouth County, New Jersey, where they have lived for the past 37 years.

Pik Chun loved the Lord and singing hymns. She was in awe of the beauty of God's creation, especially the ocean, where she spent countless hours simply watching the waves lap over the sand. Pik Chun enjoyed botanical gardens and the change of foliage from one season to another. Nothing brought her more joy, however, than gathering with family around a meal, especially with her beloved grandsons, Moses and Isaac.

Grateful that she was able to celebrate 51 years of marriage, Pik Chun is survived by her husband, Kam Park, and her three daughters:  Grace Toy of Marlboro, NJ; Maria Toy (son-in-law, Victor Gong) of Bellerose, New York; and Victoria Toy Fisher (son-in-law, Brian Fisher) of Lancaster, PA. She is also survived by her grandsons, Moses and Isaac Fisher, as well as countless extended family and friends. Her family misses her greatly, but is eagerly looking forward to seeing her in the world to come.

A funeral service, led by Pastor Timothy Kwok, will be held at 10am on Saturday, December 10th at Freeman Funeral Home in Manalapan, NJ.  With a departure immediately following the service, the interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Iselin, NJ will take place at 12:30pm. The family will be honored by the presence of family and friends at the reception, which will be hosted at Sichuan Cottage in Marlboro, NJ after the burial.
