Frances Evelyn posted a condolence

In the winter of 1996 I had a house fire. The following day I went back to work at the Utica Avenue office, and you looked somewhat surprised to see me. Later that day you left the office, and on your return, you not only gave me a voucher for Toys R Us to replace my son's toys, but you generously gave me an envelope for myself. In the card you wrote, "Francesca, you always see the goodness and smile, you are truly an inspiration." In retrospect, you were the one who actually inspired all of us. My son Michael, even at a very young age, always said you were a great guy. Lou, you were not only a gentleman, but a gentle man who was a symbol of selfless humanity.Though we will always feel cheated that you were taken away from us too soon, we thank God for the time that he allowed us to be a part of your life. You'll be missed and we'll never forget you. May you rest in eternal peace....Frances and Michael.

The moment we both found out we were the same sign, we hit it off from there! you were a great mentor, patient and most of all genuine. We used to always joke that the Utica office was the country club, because of the environment you created. Somehow, You found a way to give everyone a unique greeting whenever you encountered them, whether it was a nickname, or just the way you said the name, it was unforgettable! There are so many little things too much to count that put a smile on my face when I think of you; like the way you made sure to say a few words to all the children that came into the office, and leaving them with a tennis ball. The way you said "aye chihuahua" whenever you heard something shocking. How you always had a few moments to be light hearted over the phone whenever I picked up and greeted you with "Lou, Lou, Lou". You believed in me more than I believed in myself sometimes, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Words can't express the impact you have had on me. I am lucky to have met such a great person. You are in a better place now. Love always, Tameka.

Mr. Lou, you were always so kind and encouraging. Since 2002 I've been in and out of HP Greenfield and no matter how long I stayed away, you've always welcomed me back. You gave everyone a chance and it was always up to them. Thank you Mr. Lou,eventhough we didn't want you to go but you are now in a better place, with Angels and you'll be so sadly missed here.

I was truly saddened when I read that Lou passed. Please accept my condolences and sympathies from myself and my wife. Lou was a great human being and caring man. He hired me as real estate agent after I earned my license and he was a generous and patient mentor. I could not have asked for a better broker to start my career with. He made the office a welcoming and enjoyable place, and he will be missed by the agents there.

You and Joe were so much alike. You shared the same political, philosophical and religious views and your love of family. You even had the same sense of humor. When you two were together, you were inseparable. You will be missed dearly until we\'re reunited in heaven accordance with God\'s plan.
May God hold you in his loving arms. We love you!

Lou, I remember when I first started at Greenfield in 1988. We got off to a rocky start. Then when you came to work at Flatbush things changed. We got so close. We had so many laughs together. One of my favorites were when we had a rodent problem and you asked me to get you something from the top shelf of the closet(which we were sure they were hiding in) and when I reached up you snuck up behind me and grabbed my ankle. I never jumped so high! To this day when its raining I say you know what today is good for... ducks! M & M's always remind me of you. I learned so much from you. You had a such a big impact on my life, escpecially when it came to family. I can't imagine someone loving their children more that I love mine but I believe if it is possible you love Gregory a little more. People who know you know what I mean. You were not only my boss, you became a mentor, a father figure and most of all a friend. I am going to miss you sooo much but I am glad you are not suffering anymore. I love you Lou. Love Jodi babodi, fe fi fodi Jodi

One day on your way home, you stopped at my desk and asked me, Ms. Claudette, are you OK? I said yes, but somehow you knew me better. That my mind was overwhelm with things. As you proceeded out of the office saying good night. You promptly returned stopping at my desk and handing me an envelope, saying I hope this can help. At that moment, you took my breath away. I was so touched and overwhelm how thoughtful and kind your heart was thinking of others situations. Mr Lou, may your soul be at peace. Your will always be loved and remembered. Claudette
