Irma Krohn, 87, of Manalapan, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. She was born in Stevensville, PA. Irma graduated from the Ann May School of Nursing; worked as the office manager at Krohn Refrigeration in Manalapan; and was a vital member and volunteer of the Reformed Church of Freehold.
She was predeceased by her parents, Julia and Claude Brown; and 11 brothers and sisters, Eloise Hawley, Leona Franklin, Merle Marie Alderson, Gail Carpenter, Frances Potter, Doris Howatt, Helen Reynolds, Gerald Brown, Perry Brown, Delos Brown, and Olin Brown.
She is survived by her husband Hans; her three sons and their wives, Richard and Jean; Walter and Nancy; Bob and Donna; 5 grandchildren, Joe and his wife Suzanne; Anna and her husband Ethan; Bobby and his wife Lauren; Amanda and her fiancé Jose; Rowan, and Burke; and three great-grandchildren, Lilliana, Sophia, and Nicolas.
There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday August 7, 2021 at Freehold Reformed Church 67 West Main St. Freehold from 9:15 am - 10:00 am. At 10am a memorial service will take place at the church. Interment to follow at Old Tennent Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728.
