Walter Wrubel, 56, of Brooklyn passed away at home on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Born in Elizabeth, Walter also lived in Union and Freehold Township before settling in Brooklyn 22 years ago. He was a 1980 graduate of Wall High School. He worked as a doorman at several apartment complexes in New York City.
He was predeceased by his mother, Doris; and is survived by his father, Edward Wrubel; his sisters Maureen Barry, Kathleen Wrubel, and Eileen Clites; his nieces Danielle,Sarah, Jessica & Alison, his nephew Christopher; and his grand niece Mackenzie.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. There will be a service at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM.
